Congratulations Rachel! I look forward to the Long Repentance 3 module. Coincidentally I used the Anastasis frescoe from the Hagia Sophia in my recent series on gender in John’s Gospel. I also remember some of your questions on 3:16 and Susan Foh on Twitter, really eager to read your thesis on Genesis 3:16.
"“After all, the name Anastasia means, ‘She will rise again.’” - Vlad, Disney’s Anastasia"
Something I find amusing is that even though people thought back then that it was a Disney movie (it was from Fox), now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox, it kind of is a Disney movie. :D That being stated, congratulations! These are great photos, and I liked your tweaking of the serenity prayer. I especially like the concept of those Long Repentances, especially part 2. I think about that one a lot - no Year of Jubilee, slaves were kept for way longer than seven years, and so on.
I always thought she and her movie had a very lovely art direction, so that works out well! Regarding being a beta tester, I've done betas for some programs before, but in this context, what would I need to do?
I was such an Anastasia fan-girl when that movie came out. Still am, if I'm honest.
Beta testing would just be watching some of the episodes, using the study guide (compiled by yours truly) and being available to give feedback in a one-time Zoom meeting. 😁
I can't say I was an Anastasia fan-girl (I never could get the dress to fit), but I did highly enjoy the movie, and I realize in hindsight just how much I took hand-drawn animation for granted (anime notwithstanding, whereas it seems like a lost art in the West). But I enjoyed not just Disney but also the likes of Don Bluth, hence Anastasia.
That sounds great! In truth, I'm always very careful about 'study guides' (for something as wildly open to interpretation as the Bible, I'm always careful that study guides aren't trying to funnel us down one specific interpretation route unless they have careful evidence of why), but you, because of your character, are definitely someone I trust to write something like this with Godliness and integrity.
I appreciate that. The study guide is basically going to be an extension of the video content ... it flashes out some things a bit more and provides citations for easy reference. If you want to send me a good email over twitter, I'll get you on the list! Thank you!

Thank you Aaron! I hope it finds a good home, preferably one that's not behind a paywall!
Congrats! Can’t wait to see where “long repentance” goes next!
Thank you Hannah! I can't wait to share it!
Congratulations!
Thank you Lucy!

I totally forgot it wasn't a Disney movie! But yes, it is now: I know because they sell the toys at the Disney store. 😆
We are looking for beta testers for Long Repentance 2 - if you're interested I can put you on the list!
